Giving to our community: Over the past 36 years the Great Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby has been the major fund raising event for the Club. Our fund raising enables us to contribute to a wide variety of organizations throughout Meredith, Center Harbor, Sandwich and Moultonborough, New Hampshire. While our club is well known for "hands-on" projects that include building dugout facilities for the local school baseball teams, re-roofing a local church building, building a walkway on Meredith Bay, and building a new handicap-access ramp for a day-care center in Meredith, we also support many local organizations, including The Meredith Food Pantry, Community Caregivers, the New Hampshire Veterans Home, and the Visiting Nurse Association. The Meredith Rotary Club has contributed more than $2 million dollars to statewide, regional and local projects and charitable organizations since 1982.
The Paul Harris Fellowship Award: Anyone who contributes, or in whose name is contributed a cumulative gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund may become a Paul Harris Fellow. Individual clubs can also nominate an outstanding member from the club or the community to receive the Paul Harris Fellowship. The Paul Harris Fellowship is the highest honor a Rotarian can receive from Rotary International. Several of the individuals listed below have received multiple Paul Harris Fellowship awards for their outstanding community service. Some of our club's Paul Harris Fellows are shown below.
